Osteopathy

Treatment for sciatica, low back pain and others

Osteopathy is a hands-on care diagnosis and treatment, which helps you to feel better and stay well for a long time. It is necessary a thousand hours of highly trained clinical placements to have a degree-level as an osteopath—an established allied healthcare professional regulated by law through the General Osteopathic Council.

As an osteopath, I don’t believe in a one-treatment-suits-all-approach. I will observe your entire body to trace the causes of your discomfort. Because I understand the relationship between muscles, joints and other parts of the body, I can help you to overcome a wide range of muscle aches or injuries with manual therapy, health advice and sometimes exercise.

An osteopath for babies, elderlies and everyone

Osteopathy is suitable for babies, children, teenagers, adults and elderlies. As a musculoskeletal system expert, I know the human body in detail, being able to understand that each one has its particularities according to age, personal history, lifestyle or circumstances. I am prepared to listen to you and observe your body offering the best treatment, tailored for your needs.

What to expect

After booking your first session, I will receive you to make a diagnosis and discuss a course of treatment personalized for you. It may involve further visits for manual therapy – a range of gentle hands-on techniques that focus on releasing the tension, stretching muscles and improving mobility.

Usually, osteopathic techniques are very gentle, and I will work hard to make them as painless as possible. Unfortunately, you may experience some discomfort during and after treatment. I promise to warn you about potential pain, and I will stop every time you ask.

The number of sessions will depend of the treatment you are going to do. Don’t worry. I will discuss it with you before we begin it.

In the following days, you may experience some mild soreness in the area. It usually goes away within 48 hours. If you experience anything different, fell free to contact me.

As with any healthcare appointment, I will need to see and touch the body areas that you are concern about, so it may be necessary for me to ask you to remove some clothing. On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable undressing to your underwear, I suggest you wear shorts and a t-shirt, enabling me to work effectively. Be opening to talk about how you think is always the best option.

Yes. I accept all credit cards.
